3 French designers at Hanoia
Hanoia is the Vietnamese leading premium craftmanship house, specialized in lacquer. The ultimate quality of its products has been recognized since years by prestigious luxury brands worldwide. Hanoia has two workshops based in the historical lacquer villages near Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city. With hundreds years of experience in making lacquer products, these villages are home to talented craftsmen who have successfully preserved the traditional legacy left by their ancestors. Devoted for the meeting of contemporary design and traditional handicraft techniques and its application on luxury products, after his graduation from Orleans Art College in France, Alexandre decided to come back to Vietnam to start his new chapter of life at Hanoia.
Thanks to academic education, combining with his sharp observation and imagination, his design always has stories to tell. It’s not only daily life objects, but also human gestures performed through its shapes, colors, graphics. In addition, Alexandre knows how to incorporate new technology crafts into the traditional handmade method.
